Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090D back in China!

Ana sayfa / News

The GeForce RTX 5090D graphics card, which was suspended in China due to export restrictions imposed by the US, is being re-released after adjustments were made to its performance. Nvidia has made some restrictions on the hardware side to overcome the sales ban in the country.

The GeForce RTX 5090D was subject to an export embargo in China due to its high bandwidth and core count. Nvidia, on the other hand, has made a comprehensive revision to the graphics card’s technical specifications in order to comply with US regulations.

The 384-bit memory configuration with a capacity of 32 GB GDDR7 has been reduced to 24 GB. With this change, the total bandwidth of the graphics card will fall below the 1.4 TB/s limit. There is also a significant reduction in the core side.

The 21,760 CUDA cores in the original model have been reduced to 14,080 in the trimmed version. In this way, the total processing power of the card was pulled below the specified thresholds. With this decrease in performance, it is stated that the RTX 5090D has reached a structure close to the RTX Pro 5000 model offered by Nvidia in the professional segment.

Thus, the company managed to fully comply with the regulations and obtain a resale permit. The GeForce RTX 5090D is expected to be released in China in late July or early August with its trimmed features. This move by Nvidia could significantly increase competition in the Chinese market.

So what do you think about this issue? Do you think Nvidia’s new graphics card strategy will be successful? You can easily share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
